Doctors Council SEIU is the unified voice for 2,500 physicians who work in New York’s Health + Hospitals, the largest public healthcare system in the country.

We, the frontline doctors of Doctors Council SEIU, stand against the profiteering and corporatization that has become endemic to the American healthcare industry. We believe healthcare is a human right and we are actively fighting against the pervasive trend wherein healthcare serves profit margins rather than patients. We provide care regardless of insurance. While private healthcare systems make distinctions between the care that is provided based on how much money a patient can afford to pay, we treat all patients equally, regardless of ability to pay and have sliding scales for more equitable out of pocket expenses.
